Cyclone Pam Road Reconstruction Project

KBC-Elevate was sub-contracted by Cardno Pty Ltd to provide the National Social Safeguard Specialist role for the project as well as undertaking the Freshwater Invertebrate Assessment of selected rivers affected by the project and undertaking HIV/ AIDS awareness initiatives within affected communities. The project restored 10 km of damaged roadways, repaired damaged bridges, culverts and causeways, and carried out river channel realignments and other measures to make the route more climate resilient in future.  During the HIV/AIDS Awareness campaigns, Communities that KBC-E was privileged to work with provided feedback appreciating the values-based approach taken in the initiative.
